Membership Criteria: Technical knowledge related to general buildings development work or project planning or a knowledge of church buildings in particular.
Meetings Time & Location: Arranged as needed, typically at weekends, usually in St Wulstan's parish room. May be fortnightly at busy times.
Purpose of Group: Provide the parish priest with expert support regarding the technical and project management aspects of parish buildings developments and improvements.
Activities of Group: Advise the parish priest; liaise with diocesan property management and development; prepare communication materials for sharing with parishioners.
Naissance
Conceived by Fr Joseph in 2015, the group was placed under the leadership of Patrick Crotty to advise on the renovation of Our Lady of Grace church and the expansion of St Wulstan’s church buildings.
Activities
Following an initial flurry of several months of work, identifying both essential and discretionary improvement opportunities, preparing presentations to parishioners of architectural options for St Wulstan’s and liaising with the diocese property departments regarding essential renovations at Our Lady of Grace, progress has slowed significantly while the “Future High Wycombe Consultation” process considers longer-term plans for all the Catholic church properties in High Wycombe. Depending on the outcome of the process, the group may yet again find itself very busy.
