Night prayer of St Augustine of Hippo
Watch, dear Lord,
With those who wake or watch or weep this night,
and give your angels charge over those who sleep.
O Lord Jesus Christ,
tend your sick ones,
rest your weary ones,
bless your lonely ones,
soothe your suffering ones,
shield your joyous ones,
and all for your love‘s sake. Amen.
